PORR will extend DK22 between Chojnice and Czersk

Warsaw, 2.06.2022 - The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways signed a contract with PORR S.A. for the extension of National Road No. 22 between the Chojnice bypass and Czersk (Pomeranian Province). The contract value is approximately PLN 136 million net. The task will be completed in 17 months (June 2024).
Within the scope of the construction works PORR will extend the DK22 section with the length of approx. 22.5 km. The current road surface between Chojnice and Czersk will be demolished and replaced with a new road with a stronger structure, adapted to carry 11.5 t/axle load. As part of the work, intersections will be rebuilt, an access road, bus bays, sidewalks, and a pedestrian and bicycle path with rest and recreation areas for cyclists.
The scope of work also includes reconstruction of the bridge over the Suska Struga river along with construction of a footbridge, construction of culverts, noise barriers, storm water drainage, retention tanks and lighting.
