Provincial road DW835 is the longest in this category in Poland and one of the main routes connecting the neighbouring Lubelskie and Podkarpackie provinces. Due to its key importance for road traffic, it is being gradually modernised. Under the contract, PORR will expand its 6.4 km section, starting at the intersection of DW877 and DW835 in Szklary and ending in Bachórz, just before the junction of DW835 and DW884. 

The project will include the construction and redevelopment of technical infrastructure; the expansion, construction and redevelopment of junctions with existing roads; the construction of additional carriageways, public access roads, bus bays, pavements and pedestrian crossings; the demolition of old and construction of new engineering structures—seven bridges with wildlife crossings and four culverts; the reinforcement of slopes and the construction of retaining structures as well as the partial realignment of the Szklarka watercourse.

The scope of work also includes the reconstruction of the stormwater drainage system, the installation of road lighting and the implementation of environmental protection infrastructure, such as acoustic screens and animal safety barriers.

The project is expected to be completed within 33 months of signing the contract. According to the schedule, the road will be ready in December 2027.
