PORR’s assignment involves upgrading national road DK22 between Człopa and Wałcz as well as constructing the Prusinówek bypass. The works will be carried out on two sections: 7.5 km along the Człopa–Rusinowo route and 8 km between Rusinowo and Wałcz, extending to the Wałcz bypass which is being built by PORR under a separate contract. 

The upgrade of DK22 on the designated section is intended to bring the road into compliance with the requirements set by the client for a road of this class. The width of the carriageway will be increased from 6m to 7m and the load-bearing capacity of the road will also be enhanced. As part of the upgrade, pedestrian and cycle paths will be built and the existing junctions, engineering structures and drainage systems will be reconstructed. We will also build bus bays, vehicle inspection areas, a salt storage facility, as well as new road lighting and signage. This will improve driving comfort and traffic safety, as well as road functionality and aesthetics.

PORR is responsible for the design and construction work. The task is scheduled to be completed within 46 months of the contract signing. 

The contract for upgrading DK22 on the Człopa–Wałcz section is yet another project for PORR, following the successful completion of the Chojnice–Czersk and Knybawa–Gnojewo sections of DK22, as well as the ongoing works on the Ostrowiec–Szwecja section and the Wałcz bypass.
