PORR contractor for the DABS Mobile Air Base System facilities in Powidz

Warsaw, 21.07.2022 - A contract for the construction of the Mobile Air Base System (DABS) facilities in Powidz was signed at the Office of the President of AMW. On behalf of the investor, the Military Property Agency, the agreement was signed by AMW President Agnieszka Bolesta, while on behalf of the General Contractor, AMW Sinevia President Andrzej Kalinowski and the company's Vice President Marek Jassak. The signing of the agreement took place in the presence of PORR S.A. board member Dariusz Wietrzynski. The general contractor for the investment is a consortium formed by AMW Sinevia Sp. z o.o. and PORR S.A.
The construction of DABS (Deployable Air Base System) facilities is one of the tasks carried out as part of the implementation of the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement between the United States and Poland concerning the expansion of the 33rd Transport Air Base. The DABS investment is a complex to provide storage and maintenance of machinery and equipment to support U.S. Army Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) operations and activities in the region.
Implementation of the entire project including, but not limited to, the management process, quality control, communication, risk management, as well as acceptance will be carried out by the AMW Military Investment Department according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards.
The investment is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2025, while the facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025. This is the first of twelve projects to be implemented by AMW's Military Investment Department for the US Armed Forces.
